NanoPolymer® was founded in 2023 and acquired a high-tech, automated production line for polypropylene pipes in 2025. With the capacity to process 2,160 tons of polypropylene annually, the line can produce single-layer pipes of various diameters, lengths, and applications.
Following the import, installation and commissioning of this cutting-edge automated production line, NanoPolymer® will begin offering premium-quality, thick-walled single-layer gravity and low-pressure pipes to buyers in early 2026. These (PP) polypropylene pipes are used for indoor and outdoor sewer systems, as well as flow-through, drainage, gravity flow, drip systems and low-pressure irrigation systems with a maximum pressure of 2 bar (without a pump).
The mission of NanoPolymer® is to increase the presence and influence of Georgian manufacturers in the domestic market, and to supply Georgian consumers with products manufactured by local companies to the highest standards.
NanoPolymer® aims to establish the principle in the plastic pipe industry that the highest-quality polypropylene pipes and fittings, manufactured to European standards, are 'Made in Georgia'.
The market for plastic pipes and fittings in Georgia is totally dominated by foreign manufacturers.
It is no secret that nowadats the Georgian market for plastic pipes and fittings, along with other industrial production segments, is almost entirely dominated by foreign brands. Specifically, various types of plastic pipes and fittings produced by German, Turkish, Russian, Romanian, Armenian are currently taking the biggest role in the local market. Of course, among these products, there are both high-quality and low-quality items. (For full information, click the arrow)
However, the overall picture for Georgians is not good when it comes to domestic production, based on Pro-Consulting's analysis of the plastic pipes and profiles market in Georgia, Serbia and Moldova (see 'The Market of Plastic Pipes and Profiles in Serbia, Moldova and Georgia', April 2024). The study covers market dynamics for the period 2019–2023 and reveals that Georgia's total consumption of single-use plastic products is around 612 units per year, equivalent to 3,900–5,900 tonnes. However, this study does not refer specifically to pipes. Detailed statistics on the share of local plastic pipe manufacturers can be found in these search results. However, the share of imported pipes constitutes an estimated 85-90% of the market. This is also aided by the fact that Georgia has a liberal customs system. Import duty from Turkey, the EU and CIS countries is 0% if a certificate of origin is provided; otherwise, it can be 5% or 12%. With such a liberal customs system, Georgia's growing market is dominated by imports from Turkey, the EU (Germany and Romania) and the CIS (Russia, Ukraine, Azerbaijan and Armenia), driven by active construction in Tbilisi and Batumi.
Thus, the overall market for plastic pipes and fittings in Georgia is significant due to its high consumption levels. Foreign manufacturers dominate this market. This indicates significant potential for growth in local plastic pipe production.
NanoPolymer® and other Georgian manufacturers are able to provide customers with products manufactured to the highest standards.
NanoPolymer® is confident that, with its help, other Georgian manufacturers can produce products that meet the highest standards, occupying a significant and worthy place in the domestic market and potentially transforming Georgia into a global player in the export market. These are precisely the goals that NanoPolymer® strives for, and the company's aspiration is to introduce and establish the principle in the plastic pipe industry that these high-quality polypropylene pipes and their fittings, manufactured to European standards, are "Made in Georgia" and that "we only offer the highest quality".

In early 2026, production facility was launched at the NanoPolymer® factory. The high-tech, first automatic line for producing PE, PP and other thermoplastic material pipes with diameters of 50, 75, 110 and 160 mm includes the following machines and equipment operating in automatic and synchronous mode:
ZJ-300 vacuum loading machine for PE, PP, and other thermoplastic materials in an extruder;
STG-U250 hopper dryer;
SJ75/33 type high-speed single-screw extruder, designed for processing PE, PP, and other thermoplastic materials. The SJ75/33 extruder operates on the principle of transporting, melting, and forcing polymer granules under pressure. The 33:1 L/D ratio ensures the highest quality homogenization of the material;
SJ25/25 co-extruder for color stripe application on plastic pipes;
9-meter-long vacuum calibration and cooling unit;
20 HP water cooling chiller;
6-meter water-cooled pipe cooling unit;
Three-chain pipe conveyor;
Automatic pipe cutting machine;
The SGK160 series fully automatic, high-tech plastic pipe head forming machine designed for the ‘belling’ of PPH and PP pipes to receive ‘U’ or ‘R’ type coupling sockets.
This machine is equipped with a material loading device and the necessary process interfaces. The machine can operate independently or together with a main extruder. It features horizontal pipe movement in a stable and precise operation, and does not damage the pipes. This machine uses infrared heating and a double-heating oven, each of which is equipped with a central heating element. A casting method is used for the expansion pipe head to achieve precise dimensions. Switches for the straight-type expansion plug and the R-type expansion plug with a sealing collar are conveniently located on the control panel, allowing for easy selection of the pipe expansion method and providing high adaptability. The main electrical control components are made up of parts and assemblies from world-renowned brands in Germany, Japan, South Korea and the USA, ensuring the system operates stably and reliably.
The NanoPolymer® team is composed of highly qualified professionals from business and thermoplastic industries with many years of experience and a solid reputation in the manufacturing of plastic pipes, marketing and sales.
Currently, the company's senior management consists of 4 Chief Officers who manage the day-to-day operations of NanoPolymer®. The company will continue to search for and hire qualified personnel to expand and strengthen the management team.
Founded in 2023, NanoPolymer® commissioned a high-tech, automated production line for polypropylene pipes in 2026. This line can process a large annual volume of polypropylene and produce 50,000 premium-quality, thick-walled, single-layer gravity and low-pressure pipes in various diameters and lengths for different applications. This is the first piece of foreign-purchased equipment for our company.
Starting next year, we will add new lines and increase production capacity and the variety and assortment of our products annually. Thanks to our extensive material and technical resources as well as our exceptionally skilled and experienced personnel, we are able to manufacture a wide range of high-quality, cutting-edge plastic products that are widely used in the construction and household sectors, as well as in the food, pharmaceutical and other industries.
We will always offer our customers the highest quality products, manufactured to European standards and, still, marked with the label: 'Made in Georgia.'
